The purpose of 18 USC 2257
The law, section 2257 of title 18 of the United States Code, together with its regulations in 28 CFR Part 75, exists for one reason: to make sure that everyone who appears in sexually explicit content is an adult. It places the duty on producers. Before recording, a producer must examine a valid government-issued photo ID of each performer, confirm the legal name and date of birth, and keep that information in records that can be inspected. A related provision, section 2257A, covers certain simulated content. This page explains the rules in plain words. It is general information about how we work, not legal advice.
What the records contain
Under 18 USC 2257 the producer keeps, for every performer, a copy of the photo ID examined, the legal name and date of birth, every stage name or other name the performer has used, and the date of the recording. Records are organised so they can be matched to the content they relate to. The law also requires a statement on the finished content that tells where the records are kept.

How we verify your age and identity
Our check happens in your candidate panel after you apply, before any casting invitation. You upload a clear photo of a valid government ID and a selfie of you holding that ID next to your face. We compare the face on the document with your selfie, read the date of birth and check that the document is valid. Only when your age and identity are confirmed does your status change to verified. Unclear cases are always rejected
If the photo is blurry, the document is damaged or expired, the face does not clearly match or the age cannot be confirmed with certainty, the application is not accepted. A second check on the shoot day
Verification in the panel is the first check, not the last. On the day of every shoot the producer examines your photo ID again in person and completes the records required for that production. Our first porn scene guide explains where this fits into the day.
Records are kept by the producer as the law requires
The 18 USC 2257 records for a production are kept by the producer of that content, as the law requires, and the required statement appears with the finished content. This website is the casting and application side of the studio. It does not host explicit content, so it does not carry a statement for any specific recording. Your documents are handled only for verification and record keeping and are never used for anything else.
Private storage and limited access
Your ID and selfie go to private storage that is never public. Access is limited to the people who carry out verification and record keeping. Your legal name is not used in titles or credits, because you work under a stage name. If you delete your application before any shoot, your photos and contact are removed from our candidate list.
